Mrs. Thomasina (Sina) Vacca

Mrs. Thomasina (Sina) Vacca passed away recently at the age of 83. Mrs. Vacca developed close ties with the Psychology Department as she worked to establish a scholarship in memory of her much loved granddaughter, Danielle. Remembering Danielle, who was tragically killed by a drunk driver, was a driving inspiration for Mrs. Vacca in recent years. Originally from Schenectady, NY, Sina moved to Tarpon Springs in Florida in retirement where she was very active in a number of local charities. Known for her warmth and generosity, Sina will be sadly missed by her son, Joe (Danielle’s father) and her friends at the U. See her obituary here.
